Laundrykhalas runs a laundry service for guests of Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, the 64-room beach hotel on Sir Bani Yas Island off the Al Dhafra coast. Because the resort is reached by boat from Jebel Dhanna, every laundry pickup is planned a day or so ahead, and the bag travels through reception. Dry cleaning, washing and shoe care are all included.

Fit the laundry around the boat
Most stays on the island are short and full: a drive in the wildlife park, an hour in a kayak, a long lunch by the beach. Here is what usually needs cleaning after each of them.
Will my clothes be back before my flight home?
Add your flight time. We count three hours at the airport for an international flight, plus the boat to Jebel Dhanna and the long road east.
After the 20-minute boat to Jebel Dhanna, the road to Zayed International Airport runs about 175 to 245 minutes.

Times are a guide. Same-day dry cleaning can come back as late as 11 pm, so send your flight time on WhatsApp and we will confirm the return before the driver comes.

No, the front desk holds the bag for you. Write your name and room number on it and leave it at reception before the boat you agreed with us. Guests heading off on a game drive or booked into the spa usually drop it on their way out.

Your resort, room number, departure day and a rough count of items. Departure day matters most here, since the return rides on the resort boat timetable and a late booking can miss the last useful crossing.

About Desert Islands Resort
Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara is a beachfront hotel of 64 rooms on Sir Bani Yas Island, the wildlife island that Sheikh Zayed turned into a nature reserve in the 1970s. It was already open when Time magazine wrote about it in 2009, and it was the island's first resort, before the two Anantara villa resorts were added. Guests reach it on the resort boat from Jebel Dhanna jetty, and they mostly send us safari clothes, swimwear and something for dinner.
