Soft Toy Cleaning in Al Bustan?
Washing a teddy is easy. Returning it soft, the same shape and dry at the core is the hard part.
How We Clean a Soft Toy in Al Bustan
Check and Test
Seams, fixings and filling are checked, electronics found and dealt with, and the dye colour-tested on a hidden patch. Anything already loose or likely to stay stained is reported before cleaning starts.
Hand Wash and Sanitise
Washed by hand at low temperature in sections, never in a drum, then sanitised through the filling to deal with dust mites and bacteria rather than just the smell.
Dry, Brush and Check
Air-dried at room temperature until the core of the stuffing is dry, then brushed out along the fur so the pile stands up, and checked over once more before it is packed.

Soft Toy Cleaning FAQs, Al Bustan
Yes, and large plush is AED 120 per toy. Metre-tall unicorns, giant bears and character toys are cleaned the same way as a small teddy: by hand, in sections, sanitised and dried to the core. Size changes the price and the drying time, not the method.
- Large plush AED 120, including the sanitising step
- Expect an extra day of drying on dense stuffing
- Send a photo and we will confirm the size band
Yes, carefully, and the risks are explained before we start. Older toys have weak seams, perished foam and dye that has already faded, and none of that comes back. We say what cleaning will and will not fix before starting, and where we would not risk a wash at all, we tell you that instead of trying.
- Older and collectible toys cleaned conservatively
- Risks to fabric and fixings explained before any work
- We decline rather than risk a toy that cannot be replaced
Yes, and batches can be scheduled to suit you. Nurseries, classrooms and waiting rooms in Al Bustan put the same toys through dozens of children a week. Those are collected together, cleaned and sanitised as one batch with a per-toy price, and returned together so a room is never left short.
- Batch pricing per toy for playrooms and waiting rooms
- Collected and returned together so a room is never empty
- Standing collections available across Al Bustan

Yes, we collect and return it at no extra charge. Collections in Al Bustan run to homes, nurseries and waiting rooms, on a slot you choose. A batch from a playroom is handled as one order, counted and labelled so nothing goes missing.

Not when it is washed by hand rather than by machine. A drum splits seams, pulls glued eyes loose and pushes the filling into hard lumps. Every toy is washed by hand in sections at low temperature and dried flat instead, which is why it comes back the same shape.
- No drum washing and no tumble drying at any stage
- Dye colour-tested on a hidden patch before anything gets wet
- Seams, eyes and noses checked before and after cleaning
Allow two to three days from the day we collect. Washing takes an hour or two. The wait is drying to the centre of the stuffing, which cannot be rushed with heat. Tell us if it is the bedtime toy and we plan around that.
- Two to three days is typical, four for large or dense toys
- Drying to the core is the limiting step and cannot be rushed
- Tell us if a child is waiting and we schedule around it
It removes most of them, which is the whole aim of the step. Dust mites live in the stuffing rather than on the surface fur, so a quick surface wash leaves the population behind. A fabric-safe sanitiser is worked through the filling and the toy is then dried right through, which is the combination that brings the count down.
- Sanitiser worked through the filling, not just the pile
- Dried to the core, because damp stuffing is where mites return
- Booked as a routine by families managing asthma and eczema

"Sent our son's bedtime toy in from Al Bustan after a bout of flu went round the house, and every toy came back labelled correctly. They asked about batteries and a music box before collecting."
"Came to them after a home wash went wrong and they checked every seam before and after. Easy to deal with and they do what they say."
via Trustpilot "My daughter's bear has been slept with for four years and I was too scared to wash it. It came back clean and still soft, and she did not notice anything different about it, which was the whole point."
via Google "We do this every couple of months now because of my son's asthma. They clean the bedding and his two toys together and the difference in his mornings is obvious."
"Big unicorn plush, about a metre tall. Took four days because of the drying, which they told me upfront, and it came back fluffy instead of the flat mess I got from the machine last time."
"They found a loose eye on one of the toys and told me instead of sending it back like that. Small thing, but with a toddler in the house it mattered."
"We sent eleven toys from our nursery playroom. Collected on Sunday, back midweek, all labelled and counted correctly. The batch price was fair for the work."
via Website "A singing elephant with the sound box sewn in. I assumed it was not washable. They cleaned around the unit and it still plays, so I was wrong."
"My mother's teddy from the sixties. They said in advance the faded patches would not improve and not to expect white, and that honesty is why I used them again."

Nurseries, clinics and family homes across Al Bustan send us everything from a single bedtime bear to a counted batch of thirty playroom toys. Small orders are washed individually by hand; batches are labelled, cleaned and returned together so a room is never left short. Either way the sanitiser goes through the stuffing, where the dust mites actually live.
