Laundry & Dry Cleaning at Rixos The Palm Hotel &  Suites.

With two to five bedrooms in a family suite, the laundry basket fills quickly. We charge AED 60 for 6kg, AED 99 for 12kg and AED 12 for every kilo after that. Swim shorts, T-shirts and sundresses come back washed, dried and folded at the Rixos The Palm entrance within 24 hours.

An evening at L'Olivo, Toro Loco or Aqua & More calls for something crisp. We clean and press shirts for AED 15, trousers for AED 18, a day dress for AED 40 and an evening dress for AED 65. Hand it over before noon and dry cleaning can reach Rixos The Palm that same day.

Clothes that arrive clean but creased only need steam. We charge AED 9 for a hung shirt, AED 12 for trousers or a kandura and AED 25 for a dress. Give us a handful of pieces over breakfast at Rixos The Palm and they return pressed within 24 hours.

Chiefly for homes on the Palm, though families in a pool suite often bring their own baby blankets and beach towels. Beach towels are AED 6, bath robes AED 16 and a blanket AED 15. Towels and sheets are back in 24 hours; a large duvet takes 48, so time it before checkout.

Tennis, beach volleyball and long walks on the sand leave trainers grey and gritty. Sandals and espadrilles start at AED 45, sneakers and formal shoes at AED 55, and children's shoes at AED 35. Shoe cleaning needs 2 to 4 days, so book it early in your stay at Rixos The Palm.

A canvas tote marked by sun cream, a backpack full of sand from the kids' club or a handbag caught by a spilt drink can be cleaned before the trip home. Totes, backpacks and handbags are AED 45 and a duffel bag AED 65. Allow 3 to 5 days.

A trouser hem that trails, a dress that needs taking in for an anniversary dinner, a broken zip found while unpacking. Most hem and waist jobs cost AED 40. Tailoring takes 48 to 72 hours, so mention the date of your occasion in your first message from Rixos The Palm.

Hotel rooms do not need this; neighbours do. It is meant for apartment and villa owners across Palm Jumeirah. Carpets cost AED 20 per sqm, or AED 26 per sqm for wool, and curtains AED 20 per sqm, rising to AED 25 with a blackout lining. Both take 3 days.

Weddings here run from beach ceremonies to evenings in the combined ballroom, and a gown can gather sand, grass and lipstick in a single night. Prices: from AED 250 for a standard gown, from AED 450 if beaded, AED 55 for a veil and AED 35 for a bridesmaid dress. Allow 7 to 14 days.

For event organisers and brand teams putting on family days, launches or birthday shows on the Palm. A small costume costs AED 200, a medium AED 230, a large AED 250, plus AED 30 per accessory. Each suit is cleaned inside and out, deodorised and dried slowly over 3 to 5 days.

A favourite teddy tends to follow children to the Rixy Kids Club pool and back. We charge AED 55 for a small soft toy, AED 70 for a medium one and AED 120 for a large one. Allow 2 to 3 days, so hand it over early in the trip and it travels home fresh.

A service for Palm Jumeirah residents rather than hotel suites. Regular sofa covers cost AED 35 and large ones AED 40, and cushion covers start at AED 10. They come back within 2 to 3 days, washed with care and pressed so they sit neatly on the frame again.

Winter evenings by the water sometimes call for a leather jacket, and leather cannot go through ordinary dry cleaning. It gets a slower, gentler treatment instead. Prices begin at AED 150 for a jacket and AED 130 for a coat or blazer. Expect it back after 3 to 5 days.
