Six kilos costs AED 60, twelve costs AED 99 and each kilo beyond that adds AED 12. A shirt button comes off an hour before the presentation, or new trousers trail on the floor. Re-sewing a button costs AED 15, while a hem or a split seam is AED 40, and the tailor usually finishes in two or three days, which is quick enough for a short assignment in Internet City.

Whoever is here for a wedding or gala can hand in the outfit afterwards. An evening dress is AED 65, a sherwani AED 70 and a bridal gown from AED 250. Gowns take one to two weeks, and we can deliver them to any address in Dubai, so you do not have to carry a bag of lace home on the plane.

The teddy that came on the long stay is washed by hand, never tumbled. Prices run AED 55 for a small toy, AED 70 for a medium one and AED 120 for a large one, with slow drying that protects the filling. Allow two to three days, which suits children who cannot sleep without it.
