Laundry around a longer stay
Tell us when you leave and we say when the last bag has to go. Many guests here stay for weeks in the one- and two-bedroom suites, so the list below is built around ordinary days in Al Ain.
Can it be back before I leave?
Choose your flight. Counters for international flights open three hours before take-off, and the long motorway to Abu Dhabi comes on top.
Abu Dhabi's Zayed International, the main airport, is about 95 to 135 minutes away by taxi. Al Ain International is 20 to 30 minutes from the resort but has only a few flights.

How guests use us as the weeks go by
- 1A few daysMost guests do their own washing and send only what a machine would spoil, such as a suit, a silk dress or a thobe.
- 2One to three weeksThe list grows to bigger loads, such as towels, school uniforms and blankets, collected on one set day.
- 3A month or longerFamilies fix a weekly slot, and a formal event simply adds dry cleaning to the list.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Laundrykhalas takes orders by WhatsApp only, and the line is ours, not the resort's. Mention the resort and your suite in your opening message.
- We answer by day and by night
- Our reply carries a quote and a collection time
- Delivery is free once the order reaches AED 30
Bulk washing costs AED 60 for 6kg and AED 99 for 12kg. Garments for dry cleaning are priced piece by piece, and guests at Al Ain Rotana in the city centre pay identical rates, because the price follows the item and not the building.
- Each kilo beyond 12kg adds AED 12
- Trousers AED 18, shirts AED 15
- The sum is agreed before pickup
Dry cleaning costs AED 12 to AED 120 a piece. The garment sets the cost: a school blazer sits near the lower end and a bridal gown at the top.
- A blazer is AED 40
- An evening dress starts at AED 65
- A jacket pressed alone costs AED 25
The suite machine copes with T-shirts and towels. Suits, silk, abayas and school blazers are better dry cleaned, and a heavy wash is easier left to us.
- No standing by a finished cycle
- Pressed clothes return on hangers
- Heavy loads are weighed, dried and folded
The resort is on Al Masoody Street in Al Qatara, opposite Safeer Mall. Sheikh Tahnoon Stadium, a short taxi ride away, is about 1.2 km off, and the old city centre is a few kilometres south.
- Hili Archaeological Park lies about 6 km north
- Hili Rayhaan by Rotana is a few minutes north-east
- Al Ain's own airport is 20 to 30 minutes by taxi
Yes, if the car collects it before midday. We clean and press it at our workshop and bring it to reception that night, so a morning handover is enough for an evening event.
- Later handovers return the day after
- Jackets travel on a hanger
- Say when you need it for a meeting
No. Reception holds the bag when your name and suite number are written on it, and you tell us in the chat that it is waiting. The finished order returns to the front desk as well, so a day at work or at the mall carries on undisturbed.
- Suits guests at work or at the shops
- Drivers never go into the suite
- You hear from us when it is returned
A 6kg bag works out at AED 10 a kilo, and 12kg costs AED 99. Beyond 12kg each kilo is AED 12, so big loads cost less per kilo.
- Holds roughly a week of clothes for two adults
- Towels can be added to the same bag
- Returned folded the next day
Almost any everyday item: clothes, suits, shoes, bags, school uniforms and soft toys. Wedding dresses and leather are also accepted, and tailoring jobs such as hems and zips.
- Shoes are AED 55 a pair and a child's pair AED 35
- A briefcase is cleaned from AED 45
- A hem can be taken up from AED 40
